This summer and early fall has been incredible for hiking. A short spring plus higher than average summer sun and heat has provided a PNW hiker’s paradise this September. Post Labor Day, the itch was on to dig up some new trails which led me out to the Mountain Loop Highway to do some exploring. First up was Mount Dickerman – a 5,700 ft. 8.6 mile grinder of a hike that was worth every step. Absolutely stunning…
Next up was Lake 22, just down the road from Mount Dickerman. A much, much easier trail but with an equally rewarding treasure at the end.
Can’t wait to explore this area more. Indeed, that’s Northwest Living.
