Seattleites know to not trust the forecast. A promise of sun typically equates to a .005% chance of a sun break. So, you just have to go with your gut to chase down a bit of the bright stuff. Or climb until you’re above the clouds.
Fog filled the valleys along I-90 on my way out to one of my favorite winter hikes, Rattlesnake Ledge.
A crowded trail meant it would be an afternoon full of lateral jumps and quick sprints to get a workout from the trip up.
Low and behold, sunny skies and clear valleys awaited above the fog with unexpected temps in the 50’s. A mighty treat stemming from our mild winter thus far.
Climb, climb, climb…
Followed by a final stretch and some sun basking to finish the adventure.
